Sanabelle Sanzers is an heiress to a secret sickness cure. Goldie Sparks is an heiress to a huge chunk of gold. Apart, they are from two different backgrounds and towns. Together, they are tricking and escaping criminals, who will stop at nothing to ransack their property, especially their cars on a steamer train to Beaumont. When Sanny is separated from her family (Auntie Roslyn and her baby niece in her care, Victory), the famous girls must pick their muddy selves up and hightail it to the town of Biting the Dust Canyon. It is hard to prove their identity, but luckily, headlines of the missing heiress (Sanzers) are spreading quickly across the rumored to be haunted town. Now Sanabelle Sanzers must decide: Stay safe in the warded hotel with the smart reporter, who warned her, or venture out to save her family once again from the curse of men: Greed. This novella is 30,000 words and written for upper middle grade. The horror novella is for those lovers of The Goonies, Lemony Snicket, Stand by Me, Goosebumps, and the likes. It is written in the author's favorite category, the Weird West, and it will have elements that are attached to those tales: guns, ghouls, and gold in the American Frontier. Hopefully, older fans will be nostalgic of the kinder pace and adventure of this Weird West tale, as I can envision it to be a lighter crossover into their adult, harsher settings.
