Blood on the Timber Trail

Lucas Randall worked hard to build a good ranch, and he had just driven his first herd of
cattle to market in Virginia City, Nevada. He had three loyal riders, a wonderful little family, and
he had just secured a deal to provide lumber to Virginia City.
But Hal Colter and Sly Booker, two of the meanest outlaws in the west, had noticed the
young rancher and they had plans to steal his lumber, take his wife, burn his ranch, and kill all
the witnesses.
The ranch is attacked while Luke is away on the cattle drive and his young son is injured.
Ruth Randal sets off over the mountain to get her son to the doctor in Bridgeport, leaving Rusty,
their wounded hand, alone to fend off the attacks.
