This novel is a sailing trilogy that takes place on the Pacific Ocean; from Oregon to Tahiti to Alaska to New Zealand. In the first book, Jack and Beth pursue a long lost buried treasure that Jack's Uncle wrote home about from the South Pacific during World War Two. The second book follows them to Alaska where they build a business delivering other people's boats. Their crew now boasts a scruffy terrier named Stubbs--as Ship's Dog. All is well until they undertake to deliver a sailboat, Lolly, of questionable origin from Seward, Alaska, to the Seattle, Washington area--with the owner's dubious adult children on board. This tale unfolds as they transit the Inside Passage through Southeast Alaska and British Columbia to Washington. In the third book, Jack and Beth leave Alaska in search of the boat, Lolly--now in Hawaii-- that they had delivered in Book Two. They are, more or less, convinced that there is something of value secreted onboard. Their quest takes them to Hawaii, Somoa, Fiji, and ultimately--New Zealand. The author and his wife have sailed the Pacific Ocean (north and south) in their small sailboat.
