Imari Madaki is a park ranger tired of the abhorrent slaughter of elephants. The carcasses of the majestic beasts litter the burnt savannah he swore to protect, their prized tusks missing. Their cries haunt his thoughts and drive him onto a morally dark path. Each step into the darkness will come at a dire cost to his soul.

Valkyrie Black buries herself in her job to numb her traumatic childhood. She travels the globe as a field agent for the Environment Protection Agency. She finds herself entangled in a conspiracy that has her questioning who has the Earth's best interest at heart.
