A Family for Quincy

Poppy and Dot checked on the last egg in the nest. Right before their very eyes, the baby quail pushed its orange feathered head through the egg! Suddenly, the crack got larger. Awestruck, the couple wondered what to do. It had been a few days since they saw the quail family. Uncle Chicago had not been on the backyard fence, announcing the family's arrival lately. She sang gently to the baby quail as he pushed himself out of the egg. "Baby, baby, how are you? Baby, baby, we love you! Baby birdie, now what are we going to do?"
