Death's Promise: Book 1

Death's Promise is a graphic novel featuring full page illustrations and minimal text. Dazzling dragons, aliens, animals, and humanoids will guide you through interrelated tales set in a dystopian universe comprised of three realms; a physical world, a dream world, and a mysterious place known as the Afterlife.

The story begins on earth in the wake of the nuclear war that destroyed nearly all of its lifeforms. When a deaf girl named 9 is approached by the curious vampire Molly, a psychic conversation between them sets into motion a strange chain of events.

The girl and vampire encounter unforeseen trouble in a nightclub, and 9 is killed. Since a vampire like Molly is a being who is already dead, she had been playing with fire just visiting earth in the first place. Interacting with mortals could spell grave trouble if something bad were to happen. It is illegal for the dead to alter the course of a mortal's life. Meanwhile, the afterlife may as well be hell. A gang of majikless roughnecks run rampant using a powerful substance called time.
