Einar casts a spell with art. Like witches, artists are creatures of ritual because of their acts of creation. His paintings come alive by reflecting the psychology of color imbued with magic. While living in San Francisco's most artistic community of Dogpatch and attending California College of the Arts, Einar's paintbrush functions as a wand to direct energy and intent into visual spells. Color is a level of darkness. We use color magic every day to invoke a magical response, usually without realizing the ritual, practicing more witchcraft than we think. Einar, like a majority of men involved in magic, is satisfied with being called a witch because it is spirituality, a spiritual path: a road he walks to nourish his soul, to commune with the Universe's life force as a way to better his own life. A raven arrives as the incarnation of Einar's dead twin brother. Through the raven, he learns that reality doesn't exist but must be pursued and won. Einar views the world as an existential psychoanalyst who uses the function of belief as the basis of his magic. Belief is a tool.
