After God had created man, He noticed that man needed a helper, so God reasoned that He should give to man a suitable partner, the one fitting him, the one with whom they have the same destiny, so God presented to man different female species, He brought his way cows but they were not fitting, He brought Apes but still they were not fitting man, the best man could do, was to give them names. So God thought of an idea, He took out a rib from man and formed him a suitable partner, the one with whom they have the same destiny.
So when it comes to marriage, it's not a question of marrying any female creature, not everyone is in your destiny. Men of old like Abraham knew this secret, when he wanted to get a wife for his son Isaac, he sent his servant to particular location in a particular family, to find a wife for his son.
