Several days later a man who looks like the old man's son shows up at her apartment again asking for the Kitsune's help. He explains he is a mortal who has been claimed by a powerful witch who has been keeping him alive through the centuries, but now he wants it to end. Can Remy help him win free? Or will she loose her own soul in the process, or worse, her girlfriend?

The Devil's Right Beside You

Ted has not had the happiest life, growing up with parents who refuse to acknowledge that you're transgender can be hard enough, even after cutting contact and moving to a new city. Add to that the stigma that comes from seeking magic from Demons to make his body and soul match and you have an explanation for reclusive behavior. Until a certain Kitsune turned his whole world upside down. Now, Ted must track down and deal with the Demon he sold his name too in order to reclaim his mortal identity and perhaps make peace with his family.
