This book is the second volume in a series of poetry collections about the Kamatree. Kama means love, sex, pleasure, desire in Sanskrit. The tree stands for life.
In this book "Damaging the Kamatree" the author writes about abuse and about the possible feelings and consequences if you have experienced abuse. In any form, abuse damages the lives of victims. Victims are sometimes not even aware of the fact that they are subject to abuse. Feelings of shame and guilt may be involved. Besides that, when you really love someone, it can sometimes be too difficult to set your own limits or to stick to your own limits.
Part I of this book is about abuse.
Part II is about the light that can come back into your life. It's about the hope, trust and love you can experience after a period of darkness.

In the first volume "Climbing the Kamatree" the author writes about love, the happiness and pleasure you can find and feel when you love someone, the sadness you can experience when you break up and the hurt you feel inside when abuse crosses your path. Some poems also deal with prejudice and pride. Some are about acceptance.
In "Climbing the Kamatree" the writer has already included some poems about abuse. The second volume "Damaging the Kamatree" focuses on poems about abuse. The book also shows that the light can come back into your life.
