Ver Hoet is the girl next door, a fantasy, a trope, a poet, a lover, in love, through with love, a sex worker, an addict, an irrepressible romantic, a dreamer, a schemer, a photographer, an artist, a hopeful loser, hopelessly socially awkward, waiting at an incall for a call she hopes never rings, with a heart full of longing for that one ephemeral thing she and only she knows exists and perhaps, just perhaps, will one day free her from her contradictions.
