Nu'uanu Pali

Modern man may be missing what ancient people had as an intimate connection daily - communion and confidence in the Divine. This historical novel chronicles the destiny and evolution of the ancient Hawaiians through the lives of a king and his warriors who felt called to unite the disparate warring kingdoms throughout their island chain.

Common with other ancient peoples, they suffered through a brutal history but at the same time walked, worked, fought, loved, and celebrated closely alongside their gods and ancestors, spirits who nurtured and guided them, reminding them that there was another realm along this temporal one that all would return to someday.

Coinciding with the unfolding of their destiny and fate, a foreign advanced people entered their lives, bringing 18th century technology, armaments, religion, and perspectives that brought unforeseen benefits or ills to their way of life.
