With enemies all around, Virtue finds herself trapped in her dorm with new friends, former rivals, her faithful service dog Beynac, and her very first boyfriend.

Led by the clever and charismatic Comus and with the Apocalypchix as his personal security detail, the so-called "Remainders" set out to create a whole new society. But how perfect can a new society be when it's built on the old foundations of jealousy, falsehood, and fear?

For Virtue and her fellow survivors, it's "us against the world."
