A stranger approaches a woman struggling with her disabled child and asks, "Do you sometimes say, I wish you were never born?" The young mother begins to contemplate this question as she explores what disability is. Through poetry, historical events and lived experiences, she reflects on the subject of disability: what is disability? What is disability culture? How are disabled people treated in society? In the end, she comes to realize that anyone can become disabled at any time.
