Kulova and Kundu, a herdsman and a wanderlust, work for a rich landowner in a rural place. The matriarch of the home is an ailing, homely woman. Her daughter Cynthia is an aspiring musician who loves to practice on her keyboard. The herdsman is unmarried, though he is of middle-age, but on one occasion meets and makes friends with a woman while grazing in the forest. She later leaves him, and returns to her husband, as he learns later. He remains lonely and yearning for love. When the woman of the home passes on the whole family is heart-broken, and react after various ways. Kulova thinks of starting a business and finding his woman. Kundu reflects on starting a business and settling. Cynthia would like to craft a song especially for her departed mother. All of them in this way of eventually walk the threshold of manhood, and find that this too is not easy.
