WHAT DO YOU SEE?
The Gospel of Matthew made a remarkable account of how Jesus sees the people he is sent to:
"But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd." (Matthew 9:36)
There is a way believers and ministers who have the love of God in their hearts see people, unbelievers, this world. They see them just as Jesus did, as sheep without Shepherd.
What do we see when we see unbelievers in our schools, neighbourhoods, offices and so on? Do we see people we envy and wished we had their "liberty" or people who need to hear the true gospel of Lord Jesus Christ? The work of a believer in Christ is to preach the gospel, the good news. There is nobody who hears any kind of good news and then becomes sad and broken. The response of the recipient of the good news of our saviour is joy. The response to the gospel preached by Phillip in the city of Samaria was no co-incidence.
"And there was great joy in that city." (Acts 8:8)
Peter had earlier preached on the day of Pentecost an the people also received the message with gladness.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized (Acts 2:41)
Why? because it is the GOOD NEWS!
This book starts with an exegetical approach to the meaning of the gospel and closed by putting the fire in your bones to go out there where the sinners are and deliver the good news doctrinally, passionately and miraculously.
