Rewriting 40: Choosing Life, Even When It's Hard

This is my life story, about how I chose a different life from my mother's 40 years on this earth. It's more than my mother was gone at 40, and I'm approaching 40 and still here. I'm choosing life even when it's hard and learning to thrive just now, hitting 40 years. High five!

It's about:

• Leaning into big emotions, holding space for pain, and being comfortable with being wrong (which is SO OFTEN).
• Being myself, even though I'm weird. I really am. I'm into it, it's ok!
• Understanding what I need and doing that (Finally!).
• Discovering what brings me peace and joy - and doing that!
• Processing my trauma, so it no longer follows me like a rabid raccoon.
• Learning how to parent my children, who are the loves of my life, and my motivation for being better every day.
• I'm finding my way, you, guys! I'm really doing it!!
• Starting again as many times as life asks.
• Using these lessons to embrace that I'm a hot mess, and to live life fully.
