Here's a collection of weird little tales by Les Talma, now with a new afterword by the author, where the stories are discussed.

Just quick little reads for your perusing pleasure:

  1. "LUCY PLAYS CUPID": Lucy steals Cupid's arrows. Chaos ensues.
  2. "LITTLE GOLDEN SUN": A mermaid and her new pet sun have ghoulishly delicious adventures.
  3. "CAN I BORROW YOUR PAIN?": A cute passerby has a hankering for some deep emotions.
  4. "THE FINAL GIRL": It's not easy being the last one.
  5. "PEOPLE PIZZA" : A daughter is picky about her pizza.
  6. "PARANORMAL MAD SCIENTIST": Was it just business as usual? Perhaps...Either way, you're in trouble.
  7. "WHAT SUSIE LEARNED.." Susie found a serial killer in her closet. So she decided to teach him a lesson

So what have we got here?

Well, we got short stories... Some are really short.

A lot of these started as ideas spaced out in notebooks. They grew like demented lullabies that turned into little character studies and surreal adventures of reality bending characters that just wanted to push the limits and see how far they could go.

Like Lucy with Cupid's stolen arrows, and the mermaid with her little pet sun.
The idea was to mix the giddy wonder of children's books with dark fairy tales and atmospheric horror movies that hug you in deep, dark and shadowy embraces, while whispering fantastically horrible things that chill and excite you.

Susie knows what we're talking about. She loves stuff like that.
If you make it to the last story, you'll see her describing all sorts of twisted things to her friend as she discusses the horrible things done to a serial killer she caught. It's like candy to her. Warped twisted candy. and that's what we got here.

Take a peek, taste some samples, you're bound to find something you like.
