When Julia threatens to take Rosie with her to Spain, Irene is unable to convince her to stay. Irene decides to go and meet her birth family in Ireland and settles into a new life following a period of self-discovery. She forms a firm bond with Rodney and by the end of the novel the future looks a lot less grim for Irene. REDISCOVERING IRENE - a Celtic Adventure is at its heart, a novel about self-discovery, a young woman finding her way in the world and forging a new path, and recovery from some of her demons that had haunted her for many of her young years.
