The stories are extremely full of emotion, but surprisingly, a couple are quite humorous. "The First Kiss" is a sly poking fun at the beginning of a relationship while worrying when it will turn physical. As such, it is relatable and humorous, since, after all that worry and imagining various scenarios, it ends with the lines "After all, the first kiss should happen spontaneously. It will happen when you least expect it!"
Another, "Playing with Emotions" is a look back at consecutive relationships and the difference (and difficulty) between finding someone as a young person and finding him as a more mature, discerning adult, surely a scenario that will resonate with many readers.
