This collection is more than a series of stories in poetry and prose; it is written with my tears as I have held my friends and sometimes rocked and hugged my own knees to my chest. The purpose of this project is to give voice to victims of sexual abuse. Some of the poems are reflections of my own experiences; some are from contributors who will remain anonymous. It is my goal to be the voice of these victims, allowing them to share their stories in a safe way and letting other abuse survivors know that they are not alone. It is my hope that it will help people find their own way to express their pain, grieve what they've lost, and heal.
