Several years went by and she began feeling as though she now had control over her life. The horrific memories of mother, Sir, and her seemed to have been fading away. Submerging herself into work and not allowing time for anything else, this appeared to be the safe route. Who would have thought a slight detour in her normal routine would have placed her face to face with her past? Attempting to escape, she rushed down the hall to the restroom and closed the door behind her. As she turned around to look for an escape, she found herself closed in with nowhere to go. Gasping for air, she fell to the floor, realizing this was it, the very moment she dreaded and had no way out. After a few minutes of sobbing, she pushed herself up onto her feet taking a deep breath, wiping the tears from her eyes. She grabbed the doorknob and opened it slowly. There she stood before her in a green dress riddled with holes and covered in mud. At that very moment every memory, every scent, and every event came collapsing in leaving her with only one choice left. It was time to settle this once and for all.
