The Get-To-Know-Becky List

When her husband leaves her for another woman, Becky is unprepared to face life on her own. And, nightmare, how can she possibly attend her daughter's wedding alone?

Best friend, Sinead, comes up with a plan for a "pretend" boyfriend tasked to be not only Becky's date at the wedding, but to also coax out her suppressed strong, independent personality. Becky reluctantly agrees to the "great deception" which involves Gregory, a younger, gay man. As the unlikely pair get to know each other, thanks to Gregory's "Get-to-know-Becky" list, a deep friendship develops between them.

The story brings together a small group of friends who have lost in love for different reasons. Gregory and Sinead have their own stories, interwoven into the narrative. At times humorous, at times sad, the story is one of growth and true friendship. Becky's husband is never the villain, indeed, his leaving is the catalyst for a happier Becky.
