A Child Goes Missing in a Quiet English Village: Clean Cozy Mystery

For once Lily is not at the heart of a mystery, or so she thinks. Blake hosts a gathering to celebrate the success of Lily's books but the party is interrupted by a scream from a distraught mother whose child has gone missing.

The house is searched, as is the nearby area, but it seems as though the child has tragically fallen off a cliff.

To make matters more complicated, Lily is faced with a new Constable, Chloe Hargreaves, who has been placed in temporary charge of Didlington St. Wilfrid, and she does not appreciate Lily's interference.

Both women are searching for the truth while battling each other, and while the evidence points to the child's death there are enough elements of doubt for Lily to believe that he's still alive.

With conflicting motivations and mounting tensions, Lily and Chloe navigate a treacherous path, each pursuing their own version of the truth. As doubt persists, Lily clings to a flicker of hope, unwilling to accept the possibility that a child's life has been lost forever.
