The first of many poetry collections based on immigrants' roots is Immigrant Roots, American Soil. Identity, self-love, cultural identity, and finding one's voice. As a refugee or immigrant child, this collection explores the trials and tribulations of clinging to culture and identity. For all refugees, immigrants, children of immigrants, and third-culture kids who have felt themselves simply floating between cultures and rusty mother tongues.
