The Young Pastor

We are in a time when we see a lot of mistakes being committed by young pastors in this noble ministry. Pastors are not learning to succeed in the ministry the right way. While some are not certain about their calling, others are not preparing adequately for it. There are pastors who have a divided attention between satisfying their own desires and fulfilling God's Kingdom agenda. Still, others are overworking themselves out of desperateness to succeed.

Lack of experience can lead to ineffectiveness and inefficiency. Young pastors may not have the experience or knowledge to effectively lead and manage a congregation. They can become overwhelmed by the demands of their ministry and suffer from burnout. Others may fail to manage the church's finances with integrity; and there are those who are unable to manage internal conflicts.

Regardless of age or experience, Pastors are human. They are prone to making mistakes. Without doubt, younger pastors are more prone to making more deadly mistakes. As in all fields of endeavour, the more experienced, the better. This book will guide young inexperienced pastors along the path of success. It is written with the goal of helping young pastors avoid potentially dangerous mistakes.

I am a Believer of the anointing; but it is a fact that anointing alone does not make great men of God. Many young pastors have the oil, but lack adequate behavioural manners that eventually lead to all sorts of avoidable hurdles.
Failure is not the end. Through this book, young pastors who have failed in any of these areas can learn from their mistakes, find guidance and mentorship, and make the necessary changes to improve and grow in the ministry.
