California Comfort Food: Recipes from April Pantry Cafe

Comfort food has its own unique expression in every region of our nation. Here on the wild west coast, the crossover and influences of so many different rich cultures and so many stories of those adventure seekers collide into each other and create a uniquely California flavor experience.

Our Recipes are influenced by Mexican, Hawaiian, Japanese, Korean, European & Middle Eastern flavors. We pair Fried Chicken with a super limey Napa Cabbage & Purple Slaw with sliced fresh Jalapenos and we pile it up high on top of an Acme French Roll.

The Aloha plates are a take on a traditional Hawaiian plate lunch. By adding coconut milk & lime zest to sushi rice and fresh mango chunks to the limey Napa slaw and finishing with our signature edible flowers, we step into the California experience!

These dishes take comfort food to new places with the use of organic ingredients, local and fresh produce and sustainable meats, we lean into what California is all about while delivering crave worthy, comforting food that your friends, family and guests will love♥
