Love Poems Song Lyrics

Joseph L. Liggio is an eighty-five years old man, who has always loved all kinds of music. Joseph's education and training background has been in Law and social services. These services included involvement with children and their families. Over the course of the past forty five years, Joseph was unfortunate to be afflicted with a rarely disease called "Lattice Dystrophy". This disease attacks the cornea with cell formations that affect the amount of light coming into the eyes. In spite of this obstacle, or maybe because of it, Joseph has strived even harder to write poems and song lyrics for this book.

I want to thank my wife, Elizabeth, and my family, for their encouragement and support. When I first began writing poetry and song lyrics, I dedicated my efforts for the inspiration of the "Great American Song Book" composers. The works of Jerome Kern, The Gershwins, Cole Porter, Irvin Berlin, etc., through the "Big Band" and the "Rocking-Roll" periods. They gave the inspiration to describe the concept of "Love" in many different and new forms. I, therefore, dedicate my compositions to the composers and music lovers of the Great American Song Book era.

Finally, I cannot leave out God Almighty for creating the spark to write these compositions.
