Early in life I was introduced to classical and modern British poets. They were all different, but their poems had clearly discernible structures and, in most cases, they rhymed. I think of those poets as the bedrock inspiration for my sense of rhythm and structure, and my preference for rhyme.
Like most contemporary poets, I observe my surroundings and transmute experience into words.
My work has been published in journals, websites, and newsletters in the United States and beyond, but this is the first time my poetry has been collected and published in a book. There are 62 poems here, arranged in five sections: Love poems, Sad poems, Whimsical and Children's poems, Pandemic poems, and just poems.
