Morgan Easton finally receives the last gift from her mother just days before Christmas. While exploring Locke Pointe, she discovers her grandparents' home holds not only secrets to her family's past, but may also be the key to finding the priceless "Shifting Sands Medallion," rumored to be hidden somewhere on the island.

After she finds a mysterious slip of paper with numbers written on it tucked behind her mother's painting, Morgan is convinced it's a clue her mother left for her years ago in order to help her in the present day.

It's a bittersweet moment as she reflects on memories of her mother and Morgan's desire to be accepted as an Easton Islander, despite someone who seems determined to drive her away.

As more clues are unraveled, Morgan believes she has solved half the mystery, but soon realizes she'll need help.
