Lil Redding-Hood has always been neat, organized, and a devoted follower of rules. If it hadn't been for an unlikely passion for turning potions and elixirs into candies, she would have ended up following up in the footsteps of her Green Witch mother. Instead, her love of creating lollipops and an idea for creating her own business brings her to her aunt Cindy's door. Cindy, as a Magical baker with dozens of bakeries scattered through the worlds, is the perfect mentor for Lil's new venture.

It is at Cindy's bakery that Lil runs into- or is run into by- a giant. Well, Hunter is not really a giant, but a good-natured, friendly man who threatens to sidetrack Lil and exactly the wrong time.
