Wake the Devil

2004: Truman Newirth, the ill-fated successor to his father's empire, has made the prodigal journey home to New Orleans. He intends only to sign off on his inherited dilapidated property and return home. However, a dusty manuscript and ominous nightmares will take him on a journey into the city's dark past.

1918: Italian grocers are being butchered in their beds with no apparent motive. To the police the killer is cunning and untraceable.
