To Shoot or To Shoot: Eva Reizabal: Freelance

A goth. A freelance photojournalist. A martial arts and weapons expert. A spy. Four different people that don't go together, right? Wrong.
Spaniard Eva Reizabal is all four of them in one. Her job as an in demand photojournalist makes her the perfect person to go into all kinds of places most people are not allowed in. As a goth girl, Eva is noticed, but mostly negatively, never as a potential spy; a vampire, maybe, but not a spy. When she is hired by a suspicious publisher to photograph a long lost Lord Byron manuscript that has resurfaced in Casablanca, Interpol assigns her to locate and retrieve it after another agent is murdered while attempting it. Interpol believes the publisher's goal is to steal it as they are suspected black marketeers.
Scotsman Ian Connors is an MI6 agent also searching for something. A list with the names of all agents and their locations that somehow mysteriously disappeared. His investigation leads him to Casablanca and Eva, unsure of her implication. It turns out that her manuscript and his list are one in the same. Finding themselves confronted, they confess being MI6 and Interpol, but tensions arise as they don't fully trust each other, though their mutual attraction is clear. They join forces to protect the list until they can turn it in together to their respective superiors, however, betrayal from very unexpected sources is awaiting them and Ian is shot in the process making a very angry, vengeful goth girl take matters into her own hands.
