The Stepsister's Lament: A Retelling of Cinderella

Joy has been despised and overlooked for years, but at this point, she is resigned to it. It's how life always has been and always will be. As long as her family is safe and happy, she is content. Now that her stepsister is finally married, Joy is looking forward to escaping her society's demands, to figuring out who she is when she isn't Cinderella's evil stepsister. Unfortunately, those plans are cut short when Cindy sends a letter, and she finds out her past has decided to hunt her down to settle some scores.
