God - As I Know Him

Just because we can't fully comprehend God as a force within the scope of our universe, doesn't mean we can't comprehend it as a force within the scope of our lives. Let me ask you this-isn't our lives a universe in and of itself? We are surrounded by micro-universes of all sorts, sizes, and dimensions, which we are an integral part of. Granted, we may not be consciously aware of them, but they exist nevertheless.

God is eternal, infinite, and ubiquitous. Some say God is a matter of faith. I say He is abundantly evidenced in our lives and in our world. We have all had contact with Him. We have all interacted with Him. We all have awareness of Him. The degree of our connectivity is determined by us. The question is-do you want to harness that energy and make that connection? I have, and it's been an amazing experience, and has changed my life dramatically.

One of the greatest roadblocks to understanding God is our unwillingness to think independently; to break free of the social constructs that tell us what our reality is; what we should and should not believe; we allow ourselves to be labeled and pigeon-holed. This group think mentality blocks our ability to see and understand our world as it actually exists. It limits our perspective, and imprisons us in very confining and restrictive belief systems; belief systems which are oppressive, hateful, and harmful to others and ourselves.

I have discovered that our world is one of intricate beauty and wonder, amazing diversity and commonality, intriguing complexity and simplicity, and a perfection of purpose that ties it all together so flawlessly, that we barely notice any of it in our day-to-day existence. I have also discovered that when I examine these things closely, I see God in their creation, and as the mechanism of their functioning.

One of the most distinct organisms within our little universe is mankind. I don't say this in the context of superiority because we are not! We are part and parcel of all living things. While it's true that we possess traits that distinguish us from all other living things, we fall far short of living up to our potential; it need not be this way.

I invite you to do some light reading between the covers of this book. Then do some deep thinking about your past life, your present life, and your future life. Does your current life trajectory bring you peace of mind, and clarity of purpose? If not, I can assure you it is a matter of perspective. Change it! Your universe, like all the others, is not static-it is not beyond your control and influence.
