Ingrained Prejudice is a true life story based on the hateful relationship between two siblings, with the older going to great lengths to display so much hatred to the extent of commiting Awele to detention among criminals and boasting that he would rot in incarceration.

In spite of her plots, malevolence, evil shenanigans and physical attacks against Awele which were intended to disrupt his progress due to perceived rivalry, providence saw Awele overcoming his travails and eventually gaining victory over Ejime and her attempts to calumnize him to all and sundry including the law enforcement agencies before whom she tried to present him as a common criminal over a genuine transaction she had lured him into.

Awele never tried to retaliate any of Ejime's onslaughts and at a point even succumbed to their mother's persuasion for him to intervene in Ejime's self induced problems within her household and other associates.

All characters in this book are real but have been given pseudomorphous names to protect the identities of the various individuals concerned from embarrassment and possible ridicule.

It is interesting to note that Ejime has since retired to a very peaceful life back home in Onicha and enjoys a very cordial relationship with Awele who she now refers to as her most valuable and amiable sibling.
