Tessa Billings is a young woman, born and raised in the magnificent mountains of West Virginia. She is proud to be a mountaineer.

She has accomplished much in her young life, which has not always been a piece of pie. She has suffered heartache and disappointment in her life; yet is determined to make her dreams come true.

She was rescued early on by a beautiful, large loving dog she named Hero. He is always by her side.

Together they love to go on adventures in the hills of West Virginia, when she is not making some mouthwatering meals for her friends and people she cares about.

When her one-time boyfriend comes back to find her; she finds herself in a nightmare, filled with danger and pain.

Will she be rescued or will he, in his mental instability, destroy her and her dreams?
