The Incandescent Poems of the Sinner

The Incandescent Poems of the Sinner is a poetry book comprised of fifty poems and divided into five parts. Each part is titled a specific season such as: Season of Ministry, Season of Peace, Season of Suffering, Season of Loss and Season of Love. And each part contains ten poems under each section. Some of the poems are short and some of them are very lengthy, but I hope each one is able to deliver the same kind of hope that I hope inspire.

The word incandescent is defined as emitting light as a result of being heated. It can also be described as a very bright or heated light. Regardless of the definition, the theme and symbolism that this poetry book is meant to convey is that despite how dark the world is and how much shadow swallows us, there will always be light that shall shine through it all. The light being God and all of his glory, mercy, and love. It is why the light bulb is used for the cover; it's illuminating the darkness that surrounds it, as God's light illuminates the darkness within ourselves. And though sometimes, our own lights flicker and dim, the spirit of God that rests inside us shall never truly fade away. Rather, as long as we are able to maintain the hope that we ought to have in Him, the light bulb will continue to burn and illuminate the path before us. And at the center of the bulb lies the cross, a symbol of which represents the one we follow and believe, Jesus Christ. This poetry book is a personal dedication in glorifying and praising God that is honorable to him, while also encouraging anyone who decides to read it. I hope that this collection is able to inspire and give hope to those who feel like they have nothing left.
