These poems, and this book, began life as the outcome of my morning meditations, indeed the book was in my meditation room for quite some time so as to not risk losing the inspirations.
But then an afternoon of songwriting came along, and the notebook had to be used for verse, chorus, pre-chorus, post chorus and bridge.
In the exercise I was told that the first line must be the truth. This stopped me in my tracks, fortunately my co-writer explained that it should at the very least sound like the truth.
The poems, at least in terms of the meditation reference, then lost there way a little as other poets, and biscuits, and caf?s all tried to introduce their influence.
Fortunately my candle lit space, and the great outdoors came together to help me finish a collection, which I hope shares some of the joy which it gifted to me.
