This is a thriller based on true events as described in a report (White Bible) posted to the British Foreign Office by the British Council of Thessaloniki in 1903. The hair-raising atrocities described in blood-chilling detail in it were committed by a gang of Bulgarians who called themselves Commitatzides, members of a Committee determined to annex Turkish-occupied Macedonia to Bulgaria. Encouraged by the Turks who wanted to keep the Greeks from revolting, they terrorized the Greek population with rape, torture, hanging, burning down their property or massive massacre, until a handful of free Greeks risked they life secretly entering the occupied territory and starting a savage guerilla war that led to the liberation of Macedonia that again became part of Greece.
