Stop The Press... PLEASE!!!

Local news, non-stories, compo face pictures, celeb gossip. Those never-ending and pointless bits of modern-day 'journalism' that pop up daily, with no end in sight. I have taken it upon myself to compile dozens of these tales and decided to review them using a firm but fair method. Marvel at the yarn of some tyre marks found in the grass. Be amazed by the story of a man 'offended' by words on a ketchup bottle. Read, with great interest, of the woman who freely moved next to a busy road and complained that it was noisy. Wonder why potholes make such 'interesting' news. Dozens of stories that manage to prove how stupid the general public can be.

Then there are the 'professionals' themselves. A dismal part of news reporting that requires zero knowledge or talent. Scratch your head over nonsensical and often redundant job descriptions and try to work out why supposedly university-educated 'journalists' don't seem to know what a paragraph is.

Stop The Press... PLEASE!!! is the book for anyone who (like me) really dislikes the asinine reporting of the non-story in the press. Often sarcastic, slightly vitriolic always pedantic, the reviews in this book are still somewhat reasonably valid.
