Eater, Called Omen

It would be nice if I could stay, but when there are no more aphids in the roses, the ladybug moves on to the next bush, regardless of how sweet the flowers smell. I'm not a hero, I'm just hungry.

Anatolii Sebrov is friend to all, Tsar or Serf, Man or Beast, but first and foremost, he is hungry.
After being specially assigned to handle Sub-Commander Mikhail Kuznetsov's incarceration, Sebrov officially has his hands full. With problems of his own, business and contract obligations pulling him left and right across Europe, and an agonizingly long wait until his contract's termination, he is a man on a mission to save a world pitted wholly against him.
One impulsive crack in Sebrov's patience will send him into hiding- there is safety for a Treaty-breaking agent of the Tsar in Russia's borders, far, far from Europe's grasp. He may not think much of getting "Sent to Siberia", but Sebrov may yet find that facing expulsion from the Tsar's service is preferable to being left alone with himself in an icy, industrial wasteland full of superstitious locals...
The shadowy forces pulling strings want him dead and gone, but Sebrov is a hard man to kill. Eater, Called Omen takes us deep into the personal and business life of the shadowy left-hand of the Tsar; a specialist without a rank, operating under a fake name, contracted for the very broadly-categorized job of solving problems.
Whether or not he lied on his resume is nobody's business but his own, of course.
