I Stroke Hot Sirens: Poems and Drawings

Nidhyana Bakshi is a solitary, innovative young voice of a new generation of women poets. From her home in London, Bakshi aesthetically resists and resignifies the absurdities and frustrations of her life. Her literary and artistic work elaborates experiences of love, personal identity and sexuality, exploring the wounds and epiphanies such experiences impose on her subjectivity. Her experimental lyricism and deeply personal poetic style make use of a range of imaginative expression that defies prescribed rules of conventional language, as well as traditional expectations of her age or gender.

I stroke hot sirens, her first book, includes 26 of her poems as well as several of her drawings.
