Hunter's Lodge

A genetic disorder found in children as they hit puberty changes them into Vibrants who take what is known as life essence from others. Seen as a threat to regular humans, the Hunters secretly hunt down the Vibrants to keep the general public safe. The Hunters are made up of Legacies (those whose family is already a part of the Hunters) and Incipis (newbies). They are taught together in Hunter Lodges around the world.

Olivia and her brother Oliver become Legacy members of a Lodge in the Adirondack Mountains. As they learn about the world of Hunters and Vibrants, attempt to pass their classes, and run obstacle courses until they feel like passing out, Olivia begins to question the Hunters' methods and their conflicting explanations of Vibrants.

When one of her friends at the Lodge is found to be a Vibrant, Olivia must decide; believe in all the Lodge has taught her, or trust her instincts and find her way out.
