Lone Writer, LLC: While some authors use their debut trilogy novels to do nothing more than simply test the literary waters, Larry E Heck is rapidly proving that a first book in a trilogy also presents an opportunity to rival the best-sellers. In fact, Heck is bucking all trends with gusto. While his creation, 'Void of Reckoning', contains the demons, evil, and witches modern fantasy fans have grown to love, it truly is wholly unique.
Synopsis: When a 15-year-old boy witnesses his mother's death by the hands of an evil psychopath, he takes the life of that killer. The killer's evil soul is thrust into the Void of Reckoning. In the meantime, an Afghan hoodlum has used chants from a forbidden netherworld book to cause a fracture in that passage for evil souls. The soul of the killer escapes through the fracture and possesses the body of the hoodlum.
The merger of the evil soul with the hoodlum results in an entity that has only one quest in mind. To destroy the young man and anyone else on Earth who interfered with the evil soul's previous activities. Aided by a demon from netherworld he is endowed with a magical power called 'Satan's Touch'. The ability to consume any evil that exists in another person, leaving the body to transform into a pile of dust.
The demon from Netherworld convinces the evil spirit to think in terms of global destruction. Six years pass while he develops a way to take over all the thermonuclear missiles on the planet. The plan he designs is to cause a global war between nine countries that have nuclear weapons of mass destruction. During those years, the boy has grown into a man working for homeland security. He does not know the evil spirit exists, but he knows unexplainable events are taking place. Without being aware he is doing so, Jason Quik has become hot on the path of the evil spirit.
Jason Quik meets Electra Davis when he rescues her from an attempted abduction. She turns out to be a Sheriff Deputy. As time marches on, they become very close. Jason then meets a teenage witch during a shootout with four hired mercenaries. He is wounded but the witch saves his life. After he recovers from his wounds, Marie Lavu becomes his adopted daughter. Marie is a talented witch and has contacts within the Coven of Aeonian. She becomes his protector and also another sidekick. With Marie Lavu and Electra Davis, the three of them become aware of the evil spirit. They are contacted by the Coven or Aeonian and later by Nirvana. Nirvana provides another tool for their use. That tool is called Tuwan. Together, the group becomes entwined with witches, demons, spirits from Nirvana, and a sphere called Tuwan. Together, they thwart the evil spirits efforts one after the other. The final battle to the death occurs on an island in the Bahamas. 2000 armed forces face a greater number of hired mercenaries led by two evil demons. The armed forces can handle the mercenaries, but the only weapon that can destroy the demons is the love Jason, Electra, and Marie share. The trilogy ends with a showdown between good and evil.
