Craig's Cabin Foraging Field Guide: A self taught guide to foraging
This is a basic self taught guide into the world of foraging for food and natural medicines but also what not to eat.
In 2020 during the pandemic a lot had happened and I decided to re-evaluate various aspects of my life and I started a you tube channel, CRAIG'S CABIN, which started as a product review and tasting channel, but then I decided that I would teach myself some new skills, and as I learnt some bush craft skills I decided to incorporate that into the channel, I then gave up smoking and decided to see if I could teach myself more about the local wildlife, and decided that learning what was edible and what was not would be a good skill to have, but with nobody to teach me and no money to join a course (and imposed restrictions) I decided to research and teach myself, this book will detail what I discovered on my journey.
Foraging is searching for wild food resources. It affects a person's fitness because it plays an important role in a person's ability to survive and reproduce in "the wild". Foraging theory is a branch of behavioural ecology that studies the foraging behaviour of people in response to the environment where the animals live.
