There are two main architectural genres in Iran and in Germany. While a stone architecture is common in Germany, a clay architecture is the indigenous, architectural feature in Iran. A comparative, pictorial introduction of the two styles is the main theme of this series, titled as:
A Comparative, Pictorial Presentation Of Art And Architecture In Germany And Iran. The stone and clay materials, used for the construction of buildings, have created many architectural forms and styles in different countries. The main architectural features in Germany and Iran, as samples of stone vs. clay architecture, are selected for a comparision in this series. Although isolated images of the architectural monuments in Germany and in Iran are published in different books or magazines, no work so far has compared the architectural styles and designs in the two countries in one volume.
Volume III of this series, therefore, reviews the noted architectural features in the historic city of Muenster (Germany) and and compares them, by illustrations, to similar, or somehow similar, architectural features in the historic cities of Iran.
The exterior and interior designs and styles of the buildings in Muenster, the Prinzipalmarkt, the main shopping center, churches and cathedral, and other features are compared to similar features in the historic cities of Iran.
