Eli managed to escape the first trial, along with his cat, girlfriend, and monster buddy...only to willingly get himself trapped in the second trial, hoping to save another city from the same fate his suffered. There's just a few problems with that.
Oh, and on top of all that, it turns out there's a new creature in town, one who will change everything Eli knows and challenge him in an entirely new way. Not to mention girlfriend troubles, suspicious corpses that indicate a possible human killer, and the fact that 'dead' doesn't always stay 'dead' in monster city...
It's a lot to deal with, and as monsters evolve and people die, the stakes are higher than ever before. Time is running out to escape from the dome and burn down the organization behind it all. If they don't succeed, they die - and the trials get repeated elsewhere, leading to the loss of millions of innocent lives. No pressure.
