There are four short stories in this book highlighting various facets of our day-to-day lives through characters and relationships that we all get to experience or interact with regularly. Sometimes, we are ourselves some of the characters in these stories. Briefly, The Wealth of Innocence, the very first story in the book, brings forth the initial struggle of a newly married couple, and highlights the significance of some simple yet extremely important human traits such as empathy and communication. The second one that follows is The Mature Judgment. As the title suggests, it puts a father and a son in such a situation where their ability to judge their current circumstances maturely by pushing their biases and prejudices aside is the only way to save their family from falling apart. The one afterwards is Humans and Humanity. It simply sheds light upon certain established yet questionable norms of the society based on the events that the protagonist observes and experiences in one night. The last one, Gone Astray in a Familiar Labyrinth, in a somewhat unique manner, questions the capitalistic practices and tendencies prevalent in most societies today that have robbed human beings of the innocence that was perhaps their biggest strength when they began this worldly journey many millennia ago.
