Widows, need to rise above the pit of tears, dejection, rejection and stigmatization to which most cultures relegate them, and come to the place where they will see widowhood as a special place of getting into deepening intimacy with, and fervent service to God, in His Vineyard; a place where God is waiting, with Hands wide open to show them the special favor that He ordained for them before the foundations of the earth. When they arrive there, He will give them the new name, Hephzibah, signifying His delight in them; a place of no more reproach; a place where they will be stripped of the garment of widowhood, and robed with the garment of praise; a place where mourning will be turned into dancing again. This book seeks to help widows arrive at that place, in full-scale service, if they choose not to remarry, or are too old to remarry; a place of pleasing God with unalloyed service till He revisits them to reward as many as choose to remarry in dignity and exemplary christian conduct.
